Jenel took her yoga teacher training with Maureen Rae from Toronto in 2008. She had been teaching group fitness classes for a year andfound yoga to beincredibly healing, as it helped her physical body recover from teaching. Wanting to spread this knowledge to her class participants, teaching yoga was the next step.
Throughout the years her practice has evolved and has deepened, realizing there’s much more beyond the physical practice. She has developed a daily mediation practice to help manage the stress of everyday life. She has found that nurturing a consistent yoga practice can help balance out whatever you are going through in your life.
She continues to learn, recently taking yin yoga training through Namaskar Yoga in Saskatoon, and The Art of Yoga Sequencing Vinyasa with Jason Crandell.
When she is not teaching (and not at work!) you will probably find Jenel at either a hockey rink, or a ball diamond, enjoying life with her husband & 2 young kids.
Jenel teaches hatha, gentle, yin and vinyasa flow classes, and is incredibly honored to be part of the Santosha family.
